Program Note

The title is borrowed from a line in “The Jewish Fake Book” by Sima Rabinowitz, a prose poem in the collection THE JEWISH FAKE BOOK, published by Elixir Press in 2004.

The three biblical women who give their names to these three books share a willingness to defy the conventions of their day to save their people.
